I'm a newbie running ooo3 on mac osx, and as a mac/ms office user, i am accustomed to storing templates in a template folder, etc. Using them, making them, finding. Ooo will start a new untitled document that you can customize and save or print. I haven't checked, but i assume that such a scan would also occur when selecting.
